Although Winning Profile is a relatively new system for profiling athletes and organizations, the concepts and research that compose it are decades in the making. For years before meeting, both Dr. Gary F. Russell and Sir Clive Woodward were working towards the same goal: to help individuals and organizations reach their full winning potential, and in doing so change the way people achieve success.

Gary Russell spent the last four decades running North American Sports Camps, the world’s largest sports camp company, and played a key role in the expansion of soccer in America. He worked with the National Football League, Major League Soccer, the Premier Leagues of both England and Northern Ireland, and with several sports legends, including Pelé, golfer Jack Nicklaus, and football greats Steve Young and Bill Walsh. Russell is also the founder of The Focus Group, which created many of the concepts and formulas administered by Winning Profile today.

Sir Clive Woodward has achieved great success in nearly every facet of the athletic world. He began his career playing rugby for several teams, including his home country of England. After years of success on the field, Sir Clive tried his hand at coaching, taking what had become a relatively defunct English Rugby program and turning the team into World Champions once again. He has been honored numerous times for his achievements, most notably being knighted for his services to his country. Most recently he was named Director of Elite Performance for the British Olympic Association.

When Russell and Woodward met in 2006 they instantaneously recognized the similarity of their visions. Using their combined areas of expertise, proven research and effective methodologies, they created Winning Profile.
